On his 29th birthday, Arya began filming “The Navigator,” his debut feature film, after purchasing his first camera on eBay. Despite being discouraged from pursuing a career in filmmaking and under pressure to become a doctor, Arya had other ideas, which included using his love of stories to inspire and transform people.
Arya’s first motion picture was the independent feature “The Navigator.” He then went on to “The System,” an Australian drama about the economy and how it affects unemployment. Arya wrote, filmed, directed, produced, and edited both movies.
Risen, Arya’s third feature film, is an American sci-fi thriller that will be released on VOD platforms worldwide and in select theaters in the United States by Vertical Entertainment. Risen received numerous festival accolades, including two Best Director honors, and became a commercial hit.
